Thoughts on Windows versus mirrors Printable Version PRINTABLE VERSION
by fauxhawk, Canada Mar 22, 2004

Mirror people are self-centered
Mirror people are narcissistic
And only ever look within

Window people think about others
Window people look out for what they can do to help others

Mirror people reflect – they just bounce off (back?) what they receive, or read in the media and in others that they deem is a good mask to put on a “cool” way to be.
They have no real depth.

Window people reveal they show others a “way to be”
Window people show an example; it may be good or bad but at least they have a steadier and more easily identifiable personality.

Mirror people are two-dimensional;
Flat drab basic and shallow,
Having only a fragile and shiny faux surface.

Window people have depth and best of all a view.
An opinion and an outlook on any number of issues
As opposed to an “atlook”

Mirror people are stuck in a rut
Restricted only to the reflection
Of the image(s) they reflect

Window people are dynamic
Their view is constantly changing and their healthy
Growth; a direct result of having things in perspective,
Is evidence

Live life to make a difference in the lives of others
Life is too short to just reflect
Be a window,
Reveal your true self
You never know it might just be
The breath of fresh air
You were waiting to inhale
In the smog of pain
The stench of reality
And the grime of the commonplace
Or mundane.
