Waves crash, wash, and toil
Who is that that speaks outside of my window?
While I sleep
soundly, safely
Untouched but yet not remembered
Waves crash, wash, and toil
Who is that that treads apon my living space?
While I mourn
lowly, slowly
innocent but completely guilty
Waves crash, wash, and toil
Who is that that sleeps next to me?
Most certainly not my lover
Remeber you left me for another
but your snores are of no other
now you can listen to
Waves crash, wash, and toil...
with me

Writer Profile
Stacie Brantley

I recently lost my twenty year old brother in a one vehicle car crash. I have been writing since I was almost eleven, but I suppose with perfect understanding my most recent works have involved the death of my brother and my coping. Sometimes it seems that it is my only way of coping. And sometimes I can not even write anything.
