Inverse Reality Printable Version PRINTABLE VERSION
by prernac, Canada Jan 25, 2004
Child & Youth Rights   Poetry

Closed eyes,
Clear reality.
Sudden wake,
And a nightmare.
The clear night,
Bringing deep visions,
Of a different truth.
A truth that perhaps
Ellipses reality,
Everyday, every hour,
Minute, every second –
Except for when
The windows looking out
To a doubtful and
Uncertain world,
Are shut
And darkness is
Bestowed upon every
Corner of the mind.
And visions start
To roll in the mind’s theatre
Of perhaps a different time,
A different place, a different life.
A simpler truth, a simpler reason
For a foreign reality.
Where life and its reason
Lie in different arm’s lengths,
Where life and its reason
Are inverse of a reality
We choose to be chained to.
