I’m looking for answers, searching for myself, where I belong
How lost can I be?
To look deep within and find a soul that was there all along
How far will I go till I am free?

Everyone says they know what’s wrong and right
But is it so? If so,
Then why do we live this way all we do is fight
All in pain with anger and hatred among all whom we know.

Our eyes defy us every time we look at someone
It lets us differ their color and race
What is a person to do? When nothing can be done
For a color that he or she is born to face.

How long will we look for more?
So we look at the footprints in the sand.
Everyone has a place to be and a time to go,
What matters most is not what we take but what we leave behind.
