Why are we alive?

You dare ask me that question
When your heart keeps beating
Independent of your consciousness?
You dare ask that question?
The blood rushes through your arteries
Like the streams that flow across the landscapes of serenity,
And you dare ask that question.
As your mind feeds from the riches coursing through your flesh,
Replenishing your soul with thoughts so profound and reasoning so abstract,
You still ask that question.

Think… The flowers that bloom from the earth.

You ask that question.
You question and you still come back to the question:
A question.

Uncertainty… doubt of the self…
What to believe? What do you believe?
Certainty of the truth? Then where is the truth?

In facts about something.
The truth lies in the beat that keeps you alive,
In something or somebody.
Now do you understand?

madibaba

Ahmad Mkuche. Everything focuses back on the individual and their role in the community. I love introspective art and expression. Prose and poetry are my obsession. Only food for the soul. I'm a mad extrovert at first sight. Clumsy, noisy and absent-minded. A medical student.
