Gorgeous Jersey Lightning cracks, a lantern swings in a wild night.
A mysterious ship lurks off of Elizabeth’s Castle.
Merry sailors bob along, near those rugged rocks.

A sea mist, disguised dances of white sea horses.
Crew, capstans straddled, fingers thinking.
Views of a rocking red sunset, in Belcroute Bay.

Grinning buccaneers, caress half full bottles.
A rough sea, will lend them strange high voices.
Singing shanties, cheeky London dock ditties.

Under influenced sleep, dream of quaint nymphs.
Silk spinneret webs, spiders swing, hang, sway.
Sand to tantalize, wind swept silver dunes shine.

Cautious on them, two swallows twitter high up.
Thistles and lizards, share that dry earth bed.
Olive sea wrack, rabbit tails bob in St Queen bay.

Grey mullet play tag in inshore rocky gullies.
Eyes of a cockle, stare within an armoured cage.
Tasty crab bounties surf, pebbled shore waters.

Oyster-catchers, dibble periwinkles in St Aubin bay.
Gulls ever squabble, eat strange mariner’s leftovers.
Mosquitoes eternal, cluster dancing round a mast.

Hello From Jambojersey,
I am now a retired Chef.
Who since retiring Five Years ago has taken up writing poetry the challenge has been worth every minute of every Day.
Hello:
The word "Jambo" is commonly used in Swahili as hello to greet Foreigners.
The word "Jambo" in Jersey means a very Famous Silver-back Gorilla from the Jersey Zoo.
On the day he arrived he looked like "Charles Atlas" a magnificent six-pack to be proud off.
Made famous by protecting a young boy who fell into the gorilla compound at "Gerald Durrell's" Zoo Park.
Twenty years ago on 31st of August 1986.
Quality Of Life.
People who get on in this world, are those who believe they can do something and get a wonderful reward of achievement and great pleasure out of doing it.
With luck, ability, creative expectations, efforts, dreams of original dimensions, determination, rewarded with beautiful compensations for the achiever.
Accept only the very best choice of destiny life can throw at you.
" The best prophet of the future is the past."
Life is occasionally a self-fulfilling prophecy.
It takes a very special person to succeed.
Jambojersey.
