In an era of procrastination, irresponsibility and absolution of blame
There comes a time when it all has to end.
Some may call it weakness, (hopeless) surrender;
Wisdom calls it courage
to raise your hand and say,
that’s it, and no excuses.

It takes courage to face what comes next:
An unknown path, or a more dreaded reaction.
But it takes real courage to face the consequence,
pick yourself up, move on ahead.

It is at this point that you experience
a freedom that you thought no longer existed,
not trapped behind the bars of excuses or buts.
To truly say, this is, and I am,
No excuses, and will be what I decide I will be.
