World peace is quite a large question for politicians and many intellectuals like you. Generally, people think that if the world remains in the same political, physical, theoretical and mental conditions, then doomsday of Earth is very certain and is likely to be early. Generally, they forget the fact that the world has been in this condition from the very first day of its creation. The presence of human beings on the earth’s surface is in itself a big wonder because the entire flora and fauna of present times is dependent on a critical balance between certainty and uncertainty.

Human civilization has faced many storms which could have destroyed it completely, but the civilization is standing and it will remain standing after this period too. In the modern world there are clear signs that very soon we are going to be world citizens. If we compare ourselves to ancient society, it seems like now we are living as the citizens of one country. In those days, the people of one country did trade, business or cultural interchange with people of the same country, but in the present condition, we have different types of relationships with the people of different countries.

The person that comes into existence thanks to the interaction of persons belonging to two different races, classes and countries can be treated as the citizen of both countries. In this way, the concept of the world citizen has come into existence. This gradual change in the mentality of people will one day lead the world to be treated as a country.

This concept has some drawbacks. One of the most significant effects of this one-world country will be that many small civilizations will lose their moral and cultural values. We have many examples of this aspect, such as the extinction of the Maya civilization, and the extinction of many tribal civilizations of Africa and America after outside invasions.
As Socrates said, every good thing is also accompanied by some drawbacks and, as it is written in the Bhagavad Gita, nothing is perfect in this world.

Saying that one day the world will be free from all types of terror and violence sounds good to the ears, but it is practically impossible. For one group of people to lavish in prosperity, another group of people has to surrender. The critical balance that is peace depends on the degree to which the one group is ready to compromise its interests. When this tolerance level is overburdened, then violence is expected.
