OCTOBER 14TH RECORDING DISCUSSION WITH STUDENTS
INTERCOLLEGE, NICOSIA, CYPRUS
10 am - 1 pm (2+ GMT) 8 pm - 11 pm (PST)
Stand Out Selector will lead a discussion by and for students on the music industry on Tuesday October 14th @ Intercollege, Nicosia. The aim of the session is to enable students to meet and talk to a music industry professional about the way music is made and consumed. This event will be open to Intercollege students only.
OCTOBER 15TH WORLDWIDE RECORD RELEASE "A PAIR OF OLIVE LEAVES" CD -
10 pm - 1 am (2+ GMT) / 12 Noon - 3 pm (PST)

This event will take place online on the 15th of October, 2003. This project kicks off with a virtual record release party hosted by PSM and OTM for Poetz4Peace and the release of their debut album "A Pair Of Olive Leaves", due out worldwide that day. This online release event will feature samples of the album available in Mp3 format, an overview of the project, its lyrics and its very interesting history, CD giveaways, and a chat session with Poetz core members Haji Mike, Zeki Ali, and Stand Out Selector. This event will be promoted via the internet through Online Radio stations, "peace" promoting websites, message boards, and through a major grassroots email
campaign.
OCTOBER 18TH INTERCOLLEGE, NICOSIA, CYPRUS -
RECORDING WORKSHOP 10:00 am - 4:00 pm
Where politicians have failed for decades musicians and lyricists are making big strides in seconds. Music is a world within itself, with a language we all understand - as Stevie Wonder once said. With this theme in mind, a group of people will get together on Saturday 18th October to jam, write and record songs, beats and ideas for inclusion on the second CD/LP from Olive Tree Music. What makes these people unique is this will be the first time many of them have met and in most cases the first time they have recorded together. As Cyprus has been unnaturally divided for the last 29 years, with people only up until last April being denied access to each other, this workshop will hopefully produce some magical musical works. The day will be co-ordinated by US producer Steffen Franz aka Stand Out Selector, lyricist Haji Mike, poet Zeki Ali, bouzouki master Mike Minas & various people from the world of music based in Cyprus.
OCTOBER 18TH POETZ4PEACE LIVE ON RADIO AND TELEVISION IN CYPRUS
On Saturday October 18th, Poetz4Peace will start an all out media blitz in Cyprus. After the workshop at Intercollege, Nicosia, Poetz will perform and be interviewed on a live television show on CyBC, called "Efharisto Savvatovratho" from 9 - 11pm. Later on that night all roads lead to TRENO nightclub in Kaimakli, Nicosia. Stand Out Selector makes his Cyprus debut with Haji Mike & Zeki Ali and The Roots Crew. It will be a reggae party all night long. Also, this same night the three member P4P "core" team also goes live on Johnny Deviant's "Missing Link" radio show from 11 - Midnight on CyBC 2 for an exclusive Poetz4Peace on air session! OCTOBER 19TH LEDRA PALACE HOTEL, NICOSIA, CYPRUS
POETZ4PEACE LIVE DEBUT @ UN DAY
The newly formed 'Poetz4Peace' will be officially launching their debut CD 'A Pair of Olive Leaves' live at the UN Day event held at Ledra Palace. UN Day has played a vital role in bringing the communities of Cyprus together in a spirit of harmony, peace and tolerance. It's held at Ledra Palace, the hotel that has been empty since 1974. One of Poetz4Peace new songs pays
tribute to the building that has for many decades played a symbolic role in the Cyprus peace process. "Party @ Ledra" predicts a future where people can simply dance and accept each other. It celebrates a better tomorrow, and is expected to get the estimated 8,000 + crowd moving as one righteous family on October 19th, 2003.

Olive Tree Music will be spreading its branches online on the 15th of October. From various destinations around the world people will be able to download music loops from Poetz4Peace adaptation of 'Down by the Riverside'. Producers and musicians worldwide will then record their own rendition of the tune, as seen from their point of view. The remixes will then be sent back as
