| Chocolate was the last I've seen Now I'm twenty, then, I was nineteen! Even the sun has different rays And my friends and I have parted ways My favorite color, then, was GREEN! Now it's blue; I'm not being mean But we had different dreams on different days Today we're gone and no memory stays Morning smiles' beauty's fading away Even our hairstyles; we're set astray! The innocent laughter was then so sweet And now it's nothing more than a boring greet Remember? We went through hell that day You all promised to be here all the way But now I'm walking down an empty street Wishing you girls were here, oh how sweet! If we had such things as meet 'n' greet My mind is thinking, that'd be a treat But now, since you're setting me adrift I got so many burdens I want to be lift’d "Let's have a party!" Neat! Think it'll be such a tweet! But I have my business getting set Yeah, you're right! I'm left! After all of this, here's what I get A torn picture and a broken bracelet Pardon me, I'll set out again Looking for comfort, simple 'n' plain Smell of the early morning mist Has turned into awful greedy scent It's been too tough, I can't explain So why don't you stop increasing the pain? Chocolate 'n' roses are the last I've seen Memories have been sweet as they may have been Memories are fading away from the scene Memories are gone... gone away with our teens Chocolate… « return. |
