My masculine tangerine Printable Version PRINTABLE VERSION

You walk into the office as you do every morning,
The hypnotizing fragrance of your cologne excites the air,
My eyes secretly follow your exquisite steps,
You reach for your seat, I negotiate with my heat.

Now you’re looking at me, I’m drooling at you,
Privately; paradoxically, I pray, I plead,
Please don’t notice this blush on my cheek,
This fire in my eyes, this longing in my heart.

Now I’m smiling at you, you’re smiling at me,
Our daily greeting you may dismiss it, mere routine,
Oh the delight your dental situation lends my soul,
That smile remains from my masculine tangerine.

Through the day, my heart stays shyly at bliss,
Cagily enjoying your engaging presence,
I ask you questions, my ears dance to your answers,
I complete your sentences, you complete me.

Now, as is the case every evening,
Honorable clock ticks its verdict; it is 5:00pm,
My female modesty carries the day,
As I watch you walk away.

Oh my masculine tangerine,
You take me everyday as your ideal workmate,
I pray ever night wishing you were my soul-mate,
Now you know.

Writer Profile
Malkia Affiah

In my writing, I yearn to reward my feelings, my thoughts, my understanding, my relevance and my nowness, with the gift of eternity wrapped in simplicity and delivered by an army of alive emotions under the command of their master, humanity.

By you experiencing my pieces, I 'm one with this desire and for that I give thanks. A million bows for exploring my work.
