I want to be somebody in the future
Somebody that my parents will be proud of
Somebody who stands with dignity and honor

I want to become somebody who stands firm with a faith
And grips her dreams
Making it possible to come true.

Take away those walls of pride
Of greed
Of fame that blocks my way
Instead, show me the right path
I know it would be a long journey ahead

Give me strength
Give me courage and love
To continue walking down the road

I will do my best
To walk with faith
To clear the way
And to leave a mark on each step I trod.

When darkness comes
And blocks my sight
Lighten it up for me
When disappointments strip me
Cover me with encouragement
When pride and greed overcome me
Slap me back to reality
When I sink and become hopeless
Reach out Your hands to me

Walk with me, in my long journey
And always be beside me
To thee, this is my plea
My prayer
