Ying Yang

Everything is deathless, to each, a soul,
As immortal and endless, as complete and whole...
Senseless it sounds, to a cynical few
And forever's just a word a child once knew
But beyond surrender, just around the bend
Answers await you, my questioning friend.

You say, "The mold of the world befits its folly!
Deathless it seems in all its glory!
Forever unbridled the pleasures go...
Immmortally bound to the joys they know."

The evils enchain the choices of the weak
--Mask the faces of happiness they seek!
Omega and alpha compromised to the bliss
--Danced to the song of ephemeral peace!

Brilliance and darkness differ in none
Love and hate, in essence, are one
'Cause feelings may linger in a memory or two
But the lessons we've learned will always ring true...A Debate

Tell me... why should we believe in something unfounded?
Why should we be compelled to acknowledge its self-proclaimed truths?
Why do we risk the folly of being misguided?
When it, too, has its imperfections, with its shady roots?

We need a rock to hold onto
In this worldly trap of lies
To nourish our faith in God anew
So faith lives on after reason dies...

When it's human nature to create own visions,
Why consider as evil fortune and fame?
Why be obliged to listen to one man's admonitions?
When he longs for them just the same?

Ordered by laws the universe is
Elements move in synchrony
The "how's" and "why's" are solely His
Forevermore locked in mystery...

White robes and Latin chants--
Are they guarantees of salvation?
When beneath bleached cloaks are sinful wants
Hidden but indulged in wanton!

Why blame the whole flock for the faults of few?
When you claim not bias in seeking answers?
Why tear apart your faith in two?
When you're driven by false masters?

Cynical reviews these are not...
Neither are they pagan
This heart believes if truth is sought
Let God alone command!

When life is too dreary to be given its worth
All things seem to be going to waste
For freedom from evil you should set forth
And learn that nothingness becomes a man in haste...

If longing for one's happiness is branded evil pride
Condemn all those who choose to be free!
Let the verdict fall on the Church's side--
GUILTY of HYPOCRISY!

Do pray to Him, my precious friend
To understand the essence of things
Enlightenment will come to you in the end
And you'll soar through life with strengthened wings
