I will take you to the river bank Where the breeze is cold and fresh No spy will look Between the palm trees But the tree will dance For I will sing you A love jingle With the long tolling of a bell Because you love me I will sing endlessly And my sweet and imploring song Will compel the nightingale To sing with me At the river bank « return. |
