| O! My lovely Kate I have been away from you a-while After when I left you in the state That hurly-burly of the west I journeyed all through the night A journey without a nap And I passed through some strange And unknown lands, a home to others But my sleepless sight elongated the night And the bush along the road That leads to my northern neighbor destination All glad and waved at our bus Aiming at the city of the stubborn winter At dawn I was happy, tho’ my eye were heavy When the rising sun smile at us And accompany us to the city of Jos « return. |
