Stop looking gloomy
And downcast!
That’s not
Your portion.
Lift up your eyes,
Look around you to see
The joy. love and care.
Hold not back those
Bright smiles of yours.
Like the morning sun,
Let them break forth;
Let them break through
The shafts
Of gloom.
Let those smiles of yours
Sprinkle like showers of rain;
Let them bless the earth!
Why let gloom swim
In this pool of love
And joy?
Wake up!
Pull yourself together!
It’s a lovely day
With a great smile!
