Heeeloo, heeeloo, he drawled,
Yes, who is, are you?
Angry hands rub furtively,
At the dreary sleepy eyes,
Untying the eyes and brain,
Hurt, the query popped,
Can’t you see my number?
Sorry I see it now,
But what an hour to call?
Hey, snap off it, this is ….
Okay, what bugs you?
Sorry what made you call?
I need to finish off the dream.
Why the hurry, where do I start?
The sleep slips away,
But it beckoned, yet not
As wakefulness gained on
The senses take charge,
They analysed and queried,
Why the drawl and lack of haste?
Where was the fast forward knob?
The tape should’ve ended,
Or has fair fortune smiled?
Wait, he is saying something
I just wan hail you man,
Ok, but thanks but is that all?’
The anger seeps in again,
Why at this hour to tell me?
Thanks for your hello anyway.
Sorry, but you know how it is,
This is reaping time and …
Reap what and how…
Oh, my oh my, you’ve not he..
Another call, seep in,
The fingers swing into action,
Caller on hold, caller free,
Yes, hello, any problem?
Oh, no, just to say hi and…
But we saw today, no …
The senses reject and corrected,
Yes, yesterday, it is another day,
Yes, but to talk more, talk what?
Well, there is bonanza,
Oh I see, bye then.
Second caller snuffed out,
First caller clings on
Unhold, he coughs and splutters,
…..bonanza is on….
Oh, you’re still there?
Just heard of it, and bye.
Swift hands initialize dialling,
Mind scrolls the list,
To reap of the nights harvest.
