March 7th 2005. Malin and me are sitting at a fast food stand in Jönköping, Sweden, and are discussing about the media. She’s been engaged in an organization working to promote good projects in Africa and Asia, I listen to her and I agree. The media today are most often showing the negative sides of the story, especially from the global south. And this is a cause of people loosing the hope of the world.
What can we do about it? She asked me. And we decided to make a magazine that are promoting the good and inspiring stories. A magazine that would show a world with a bright future. The work started that day.
July 7th 2007. It took 28 months to get it done, during that period many of us have traveled the world, worked with others projects and grown as people. But we have always had the idea of the magazine somewhere in our minds, developed the idea further. And now it’s finally here!
My vision of TellUs is to give a platform for all the persons out there who struggle every day but are forgotten about in the media and in the public discussions, the persons who are the most important assets if we are going to succeed to reach the Millennium Development Goals. Every good story starts with a person. A person that dares to ask question, motivate others, take the side of the weakest persons, and who knows that it’s possible to make a change!
All of the major changes in the world have been because one person have worked hard and focused on the issue, got persons to join the work and over time got that much power to make the change.
TellUs are a tool for people to tell your stories, stories of challenges, of visions and most of all of successes. Because we need to hear about them. The world has never been a better place than now, and if we all join together I know that we can make an equal and sustainable world. Now we got the chance.

I would like to thank some people who made this magazine possible, , Kirsten, Yazmary, Jennifer, Axel and the rest of the TIG-team, our editors, people with ideas, all our readers and supporters.
As I said before, every good story starts with a person, and my story where starting with you Malin. Without your ideas and inspiration, this magazine would never been reality. Thank you.
