In continuously recognizing the historical roles of the youth in nation building and today's need to form a group of excellent young Filipinos who will be built up as the role models of the new generation, the Presidential Youth Fellowship Program (PYFP) was conceived.

The fellows of the program shall be composed of outstanding graduates from the universities and colleges nationwide who shall be exposed to the excitement and challenges of running offices in the executive government. The exposure activities that they will experience through the program will provide these young people a clear grasp of the vision of its government, the aspirations of its people, and the understanding and acceptance of their vital role viewed from highest office’s vantage point.

The fellowship program will attempt to provide a venue for young people to directly help the government push the cause of the eight point agenda of the government, and eventually have the fellows serve as youth spokespersons and advocates of government.

The fellows shall undergo the following components of the PYFP: Lecture Series and Team-Building Activities; Internship; Field exposure; Advocacy activities, and Periodic Assessment Reports of their internship.

Led by the Office of the President, the implementation of the PYFP shall reiterate the administration’s policy on transparency by opening the corridors of various government offices to youth fellows.
