My heart is like a rose plant
It is beautiful, yet delicate
Is defensive; looks strong but is weak
Given the right conditions it blossoms
The opposite makes it slowly wilt and rot
Fertilize your heart with lots of love
Keep watering it with honesty
Prune it frequently with understanding
Uplift it with praise and reassurance
Then you shall have it for all seasons.
