I was walking by the side of the road
When I saw a young girl
She was busy enjoying herself
with the gift of nature
I looked at her
And I shook my head
I wished
I could do the same too
But time would not permit me
I looked up and down
And I gave thanks to God
I had hope
Because after I had walked under hot weather
I would use
The gift of nature to reduce my temperature
Blessed be the name of the Almighty
For great things he had done
Blessed be his name
I would continue to sing his praises
Because he had made life convenient for every mankind
My heart would rejoice in him forever and ever.
