Policemen Paranoia

Freedom of the focal point is as limited as can be
You wish to capture a moment
A smile or just the scenery…
I think I need to tell you
What is wishful thinking
and what is reality.

In uniform - as universal they stand there clad and tall
Mirrored spectacles and velvet berets
You impose when you propose
A policemen paranoia ballet

Policemen paranoia with picture taking tourists
Paranoid policemen, alert because of wounds
Policemen paranoia no immune to make a scab
The war is over but the building battle has just begun
So ask before you point and shoot

Incrimination once we take without asking
Make a mental recollection
Or beg for permission
Only then follows the polaroid painting

Invest in an internal slide show
Our own picturesque reminiscence
only then comes asking if digital may commence

The agents of the state, the former secret police
Angola and its forgotten war
No material to depict the core
Be not suspicious by clicking in pass
Stop and stand and make an amicable ask
If yes, if no, that is just the way it goes

Policemen paranoia with picture taking tourists
Paranoid policemen, alert because of wounds
Policemen paranoia, no immune to make a scab
The war is over but the building battle has just begun
So ask before you point and shoot

I promise you I am no spy
I wish no negative press
I want to have a scene kept
Like the baby’s palm as it wept
This is more than my own eye
This is my plea please say.

Policemen paranoia with picture taking tourists
Paranoid policemen, alert because of wounds
Policemen paranoia no immune to make a scab
The war is over but the building battle has just begun
So ask before you point and shoot
