It wasn't the time that gave the meaning, Even in the deep of all that the world Had to offer; It wasn't so much of the fun times either It was, yes, it was those little things You did in those sparked moments To the world, they had no meaning To me, they meant more than the world Could offer They had meaning! It wasn't for the trimmings of gold, It wasn't for the coverage of silver, Nor was it for lushness of your person; Neither was it for the sweet aroma of Your scent so persuasive in its invitation It was the ever-there smile that, at Every turn, greeted my moody being with resplendent abandon...a comely attraction! We journeyed to the lands of a thousand hills, Crossing seas and rivers and forests alike; We sat on the thresholds of time and space, The blowing winds from the four corners of earth Watched, spun about touching us with caressing fingers; Making us one with all that was, that is, that Will be... mmm! So much meaning you gave to me! « return. |
