Rethink - The Wave Printable Version PRINTABLE VERSION
by DEREK FUTAIASI, Solomon Islands Apr 25, 2007
Culture   Poetry

(to those affected by the tsunami in Solomon Islands and those with memories to live with)

a passing wave came

in a way, unimagined

because for centuries its a friend

but it came with its might

swallowed all it could

inflicted pain and misery

but things come and go,

it left an eternal scar

it left a legacy

the passing wave left

in a way, imagined

for us to rethink our way

the best way – a way forward
