Silence Printable Version PRINTABLE VERSION
by Kelvin Uever, Nigeria Mar 13, 2007
Culture   Poetry

my heart kicks frantically
in the measure of my pleasure,
the faces and places light love.

I listen to my silence
my river of flowing sweat,
the dark ugly face of fast approaching night plays with my psyche.

joy is as fatal as grief to the heart,
in thunders of love I wonder,
yet I listen to my silence.

the melody of my felony
echoes to my minds ear,
sinking down to my abismal heart
my loudest silence makes me stout.
