THE NOOSE

A dirty stained rope
Hanging limply from a stand
Fibers of our fears
And our dark envy

Disguised lust
Indifference towards love
These are they
That grip this string together

A never - ending round
Squeezing its victim tight
We justify the unjustifiable
To rid ourselves from shame

When will we learn
That this world is only as good as all
A chain of links
Binding a fragile humanity together

Oh noose
Your cycle of fears
Remove a thread
And watch it fray
