The tricks of many Youths in our society today is negligence and pride, vain pride of course. It is regrettable we fine students going to school without any definite aim or ignorant of their responsibilities. They behave such that one would say their main objective of schooling is to bear the title of a “student”. They leave and come to school when they feel as to do so. They further deceive them of needs at school. Telling them they need extra money for books or school needs. This money they us to drink in Snacks with their friends. This is all done at the expense of their poverty-sticking parents who are pitilessly exploited and deceived, even thought their parents have the good intentions of sacrificing the little they have for their education.
They are set to enjoy on a day as if the world may leave them the next minute. Their greatest pleasure and occupation is moving from place to place and approaching girls they think are beautiful forgetting these girls are deceitful, they do not care about the source of what they get from these vogues. Some of them summarise the labour in studying in these clumsy words. ”damn shit thing” and keep saying ”I am already mature so even if I leave school now”. A great number of them are being sent away from school for reasons they would hardly reveal at home. If not dismissed for conduct, they are dismissed for academic incompetence. They became school drop-outs, thieves, prostitutes pick pockets which are very common today in our society.
I am launching an appeal to all youths to wake up and fight these ills for a good future. They should even join me in the eradication of these “GERM OF EDUCATION” which is really determined to hinder or even end progress.
My invisible finger is pointing more to boys that I think it is good to make our young beautiful girls know what is beauty and true love. Beauty is what every girl desires and cherishes. They are too fragile wick hearted that you can be considered murderer if you maltreat or make them feel they are not worth a date. Stop insulting or deceiving them. Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder. Like an incident I witnessed.
Tom: Excuse me. Can I talk to you for a minute?
Doris: No. I am in a haste.
Tom: Ugly fool. You are not even happy I stopped you.
Doris picked up a club to hit him when he turned his back away. I ran and stopped her but she angrily left. I called for Tom and told him it is not fair. Maybe she has something to do now.
Such an insult is usually considered by them not only bad but murderous. Every woman seeks beauty so that she can secure an educated, responsible and handsome husband.” God’s creation”. Girls too should not be so rout to their male counterparts. In the past a beautiful girl was one with appealing out looks. But educated, good and acceptable character is what is needed of any beautiful woman or handsome man, for as Shakespeare says all that glitters is not gold.
