| This goes out to the victims of all natural disasters. Especially the recent ones. Victims of the Hurricanes and Tsunamis. It also goes out to the governments of disaster zones on our beautiful mother earth. Natural disasters are as natural as our existence. We can't prevent them but thanks to science and technology, we could prevent ourselves from being affected. That is the reason for which I am appealing to governments all over the world to prepare before hand so that before the storms come around again, the beautiful people of which ever region won't be there to face the wrath of mother earth's nature. The thought of these disasters inspired me in writing this little poem:"THE STORM" She came so calmly, and the wind was blowing Children playing and farmers sowing So melodiously in the valleys, the rivers flowing Birds chirping, Cattle mowing, Twas a sign. She was Coming She gave me a smile As wide as the Nile I had no time to dial I was encompassed like in a file I was held under custody Who could release? Nobody Was left to give but a testimony No way out! It had to be a tragedy The wind blew stronger Seeds flew farther The rivers flowed faster And I grew no stronger Despite the abnormally, she was a norm Winding all in her path with her abnormal form I could only rest when she landed me in my natural dorm As I wrote my testimony, I named her "THE STORM" « return. |
