When I fall within the cracks,
Nay, they say, through the cracks,
I land within feet of my anthill;
The landing staircases stream
From without crooking about
Like an accursed smoking snake;
That is, when I fall within the cracks,
Nay, they say, through the cracks.

The other night, I was just sitting
Don’t ask me “where?” because
‘Where’ is nowhere…just the hood!
This is very confusing, you know
Crack, what other names
Is it called? Don’t flip your
Eyes at my cracker. Don’t trip.

Like cookies? Want to get
Confused the more? Go for
The lexicon. Go for cracks;
They crack my wound wide open,
My bondage cracks between its
Seams…I bleed freely…freely!
Crack this, crack that,
Use crack, don’t use crack,
It’s medicinal, it’s illicit
Words, fables, confusions!

Crack within the cracks
Not worth it that I, nay
We, fall through the cracks.
Not in the hoods no-more!
