Direction of the avant guarde has arisen from art of the modern period. It is similar to it the general aspiration to "to freedom of integrity of the form". As V.Rudnev has noticed "the meaning of avant guarde is expressed in active and aggressive influence on people. The avantguarde art is impossible without making a shock and a scandal".

At the present moment the State Art museum named after I.V.Savitskiy has a genius collection of Russian and Uzbek avant guarde, which is considered tens thousand exhibits. This is one of the largest assemblies which are making a concession on size and the importance to funds of State Russian museum in St.-Petersburg.
