Post War, I Printable Version PRINTABLE VERSION
by Tina Lee, Canada Jan 11, 2007
Peace & Conflict   Poetry

No, I did not choose this war,
But the ruins are mine, in my beloved land.

No, it wasn’t my fault,
But the losses are mine, consequences I have to bear.

No, this wasn’t my battle…
Mine has just begun, in this post-war desolation.

Writer Profile
Tina Lee

Writing is my window. My feelings about words are best described through this quote by Emily Dickinson: "I know nothing in the world that has as much power as a word. Sometimes I write one, and I look at it, until it begins to shine."
Lift a pen to a paper, and discover the unknown.
