Dark and lovely
So goes the refrain
Of a beer ad.
Aren't you queer?
A beer and a face!
Hear me out,
I meant the richness and goodness
That can be found therein
Fortified with strength and vitality.
There you go again
Refrains and clichés
OK. Think about this.
How would you describe
A hearty laughter
You once heard sung
And still plays softly
In the recesses of the mind
Like a medley of tunes and chords
So sweet, stimulating and infectious
You can't help but join in
And it's all about;
"A cadaver that talked, that denied."
ugggh! What a song!
Well, I knew you'd be sarcastic
Only you cannot fathom
The natural goodness
That comes with
Dark and lovely.
