Is this the nipped and tucked face of the
Free World
the Leaders of Tomorrow preventing premature aging today
eating Organic and dropping E
In over priced all-natural clothes
that sooth our souls
of the Guild of Over Abundance
As we live off the dept we’ve created
Sipping guilt-free, fair gain coffee

Forgive me if don’t believe
Our consumerism is going to save the world

And every generation has its dooms-day prediction
Since Y2K was a burn out
Ours is Global-Warming
Instantly melting ice caps
So let’s have a beach party
And plant some trees
Before we drive drunk
To fall
Into bed with each other
Forget the condom
Coz HIV hasn’t touched us yet
And neither has the growing expanse of the sahara
Or the children with guns
Who are going to come knocking at our doors
When theirs are blocked by the empty carcassas of future ghosts

(Because when the end comes, it won’t be via the gradual rise of temperature
But via the instant realization that we aren’t at a party, but in the middle of the inferno)

But don’t worry, a documentary will reveal
It is all caused by the lack of ornamental tress on not so square blocks
And that we didn’t do anything
It's not our fault
We did nothing

Nothing at all
