What inspires you?

I completely and wholeheartedly feel that I have my idea to help people make their life more easy and sunny. I like spending time with people; I want to bring people happiness and joy to their lives. I’m really a motivated person, and I always search for ways to motivate other people to do something, to make changes. And if I can, I want to share my motivation energy with the community. I LOVE Helping others... I have my own way of getting things done, which, at times does not follow the rules. So, I work for “Light of Hearts” Charity Foundation in Luhansk, Ukraine. I'm driven by one philosophy... Be Positive! Life is too short to spend time negatively. I really like smiling, because if you smile, people smile back.

Tell us about an issue that matters to you and how you became aware and involved.

It's when you bring people some changes to their lives, and these changes make life easier. It's when people get a chance to be more happy and smiling - they receive more time for their families and loved ones, they feel more comfortable in their daily life, they have more possibilities. As a consequence people are smiling, having good health and just enjoy life.

Product Design for Health: An Intelligent Medical Bracelet. This is a kind of social venture, which will start like a business idea and then will work to provide humanitarian programs for people with chronic or intense diseases. This is a commercial ventures - to produce and distribute bracelets - were a secondary motive used to sell these bracelets at low cost to those that need them the most. This idea has come to mi mind recently and my project is at its initial stage. I ‘m improving the idea and developing a plan of its implementation now. More about. This is a proposal to develop a product: a medical rubber bracelet-reminder, which is very simple, which can be worn on either hand and will remind you of taking the necessary medication. The groups interested in this product are: hospital patients, people who take therapy or vitamins. Originally bracelets are planned to be distributed among private and public health facilities, first locally – in Luhansk region, then all over Ukraine and if it is useful - worldwide. Health Care institutions can give bracelets to their patients. The use of these bracelets will help patients especially with diseases such as allergies, asthma, cancer, AIDS, etc. A part of money from sales will go to the production of new bracelets, and also alongside with this a program will run to raise funds for the bracelets for the poor, which will be given as humanitarian programme.

What obstacles have you faced thus far? What is your ultimate goal for this project or venture?

I have just started this idea, so it's difficult to say about obstacles. As of today, I have heard only positive reviews and encouraging things about my idea, and a few orders for bracelets. It's motivated me to go forward and showed me that I had started one useful social venture. I also know that the most difficult stage for me will be technology and manufacturing aspect - I need to create affordable and accessible technology to produce bracelets- this will make bracelets available for those who need them most.

How do you use technology as part of your project?

The Bracelet will have several LEDs, a small field will be lit by four different colours at the right time, according to the medicine to be taken . Bracelet can also vibrate and make sound signals. The time for medication is set by the computer, by the doctor, nurse or patients themselves. So I will use technology to program bracelets and also to distribute (for information how to make an offer for bracelets or order them read about it on the website)
