What inspires you?

Music, and learning about the musical arts, inspires me. I love working with musical instruments and playing music. I am inspired by the way that music can reach so many people; it is like a universal language. I think it is cool how there are so many different types of music for different types of people.

Tell us about an issue that matters to you and how you became aware and involved.

The organization status of my highly valued middle school band room, where I first learned to play an instrument and had my love of music nurtured, is an important issue to me. I realized that band room could use a better organizational system, so I emailed the school principle and the band teacher to see if I could help.

Share your perspectives on what makes a good leader.

A good leader is someone who can easily be followed and is respectful of others. A good leader is very responsible for their own actions and the actions of the people in their groups. Leaders are the kinds of people that you can look up to and be inspired by.

Without this resource I would not be able to reach the wide audience that I desire. The internet is allowing me to share my experience, and therefore communicate with others, thus reaching my goal.
