What inspires you?

Nature inspires me,life inspires and every form of creativity inspires me. I believe that life is a cycle and my observation of nature confirms that belief. Because every part of nature has a part to play, they form a kind of unity even in great diversity. from that I learn to position my mind in a way that makes me see life from a broader perspective. for example, the habitat determines the kind of animals and plants you see in it, in that same way people come from a backgrounds that determine their worldviews, choices and actions. Therefore, I must try to understand these backgrounds in order to work with the world. Nature radiates harmony and peace, and for that reason, I hunger for peace and harmony. Even in the midst of conflicting interests,I always believe that if we search deeply, we would find a common front.

Tell us about an issue that matters to you and how you became aware and involved.

I am interested in conflict resolution and negotiation. Everywhere in the world, there are cases of violent conflicts and crises most of which have proven to be intractable. I'm interested in understanding how we got this far and what can be done.
I'm also interested in sustainable development since we cannot claim to have developed if the coming generation has nothing upon which to build its own life. Also, some conflict situations have been blamed on economic practices that are not sustainable.

Share your perspectives on what makes a good leader.

To me, good leadership starts from understanding the purpose of the organization or the people being led. This makes the leader focused and ensures that he does not take wild shots in the dark. this is where we are going and why we are going there, and see why we have to get there at this time. then, this is the path that will take us there. I should be able to state that before I call myself a leader. it is important to note also that a good leader is not perfect, not the smartest nor the most intelligent, but has the simple understanding that his work is to harness the talents and resources available in order to take the people to their destination.
