What inspires you?

Music, I can’t live without it. I mean it is everywhere. Listen to the wind blowing, the birds whispering good morning on my window pane, the leaves falling from the tree. Listen to the township as it wakes up and brings life to the city. A cry of a new born baby. A plane taking off the ground, the sounds are all amazingly musical. It makes me appreciate God more.

Tell us about an issue that matters to you and how you became aware and involved.

Combating Malaria - After I suffered from the disease to the highest degree and nearly died because of negligence on early treatment, I knew it was time to do something about it. Educate the masses especially in the rural areas as they are unaware that the disease can actually be prevented. I started writing the proposal for a Malaria awareness campaign in Malawi under the motto ”Make Malawi Malaria free” when I was on a reality TV show called Big Brother Africa 2. Currently doing a survey on how people in the rural areas understand Malaria in Malawi hospitals, starting from the southern region to the central all the way to the northern regions of Malawi. So far there hasn’t been any funding but a Nigerian production company called C&L Productions who are running a campaign of a similar nature in Nigeria have supported the project with promo material for the official launch by the way of T-Shirts, Caps, Pens and other, branded ”Make Malawi Malaria Free.”

Share your perspectives on what makes a good leader.

A good leader is the one who has the interest of his country and his people at heart. They are not power hungry and are able to serve and help others grow with the wisdom and divine leadership that sees the community progress positively forward from strength to strength in every way.

Do you think TakingITGlobal can help you achieve some of your goals? Have we already? Please tell us how.

Most definitely TIG is the perfect forum for people to brainstorm and interact in every sense of the way. It allows the natural progress to prevail. I have made some interesting links through this site and I know that the best is yet to come. And now that I have a project of my own, am positive that I will link with some more people who share the same passion I have which is to free our nation from Malaria.
