Children of the world Children are gifts of the world and we need to catch them at their tender age. I have been telling my pupils and students that fingers are not equal. Among them, they are slow learners, fast learners and some do not belong to either group. This is the reason why I usually advise the weak ones that they should know how they use their time . Early to bed early to rise makes a man looks healthy and wise.

We can make our children heroes and heroines if we discover the gift of God in them. I derive pleasure in watching them playing especially during their recreation and I notice that during their leisure periods one will know whom they are. This is the time one will know introverts and extroverts among them. What am I saying ? Parents should create friendly atmosphere for their children to discover them.

Parents and teachers need to work together so that the little ones can be trained to become great ambassadors of their countries. This will also help parents to choose careers for their children if they know their strengths and weaknesses. It is the pray of parents that their children should be greater than them therefore let's treat children with love and lay good examples for them.

This is what the British chancellor ( Gordon Brown) said about children " we're here so that promise will be kept . There are nearly 80 million children not going to school today and won't go to school any day unless we take action and that's why with Hillary Benn here, we, in Britain, are prepared to put 15 billion dollars over the next ten years in education and we want to persuade other countries to join us".

It is somehow painful that in this modern world many people still engage themselves in child abuse . Some African men who are married and give birth to children always discriminate that they will not sent their female children to school. Their reason is the female children will not bear their names when they marry but they still remain the biological father of those children. Are all male children great and responsible in our societies? Equal opportunities should be given to male and female children. I can remember that I was once beaten up by a girl of my age when I was young.

My advice to all parents is they shouldn't allow the politicians of nowadays to ruin the future of their children ; they will say heaven and hell to gain the support of the people but when they attain the post of authorities they will loot the wealth of their nations. Kailash Satyarthi (the president for Global Campaign for Education) said " Again , the politician came with good words and rhetoric's, not with resources. They have come with notebooks, not with the cheque book. They should have come with cheque books and given money to the poorest of the poor children to go to the school, because we feel that school is the only way to attain the rights in the world, and which we are failing to".

We mustn't fail to educate children both in minds and in morals because they are the hope and future of every nation . I know this is a great task but I appeal to every individual to contribute towards the development of the children.
