In this module, students will learn more about the most common forms of mental illness,
paying special attention to those that generally affect adolescents.

In this module, students will
• recognize that mental illnesses are associated with differences in brain activity
• gain a better understanding of the symptoms, causes, treatments and other
supports for specifi c mental illnesses that are common among adolescents

This module introduces specific mental illnesses through the use of a powerpoint, as well as handouts and discussions that allow students to educate each other. Specifics are available in the pdf.
