aboutAbout
The report affirms the value of civic engagement in building stronger individuals and communities. Canada25 proposes twenty policy recommendations along five themes:

* Develop understanding of a national civic identity
* Improve accessibility to political involvement
* Support non-profits
* Enhance public spaces
* Promote international engagement

The launch of this report follows almost two years' worth of consultations, roundtables, and discussions, emphasizing civic engagement as the most promising means to build a shared civic identity and, by extension, a stronger country.

Canada25 thanks the hundreds of talented and dedicated volunteers who have contributed their ideas and energy to the project.

This report was made possible by the generous contributions of many wonderful organizations, including Elections Canada, the Calgary Foundation, Exchanges Canada, McKinsey & Company, RBC Financial Group, Manulife Financial, Historia Foundation, Aliant, Bell Canada, CN and Mount Royal College.
