For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but

ght to experience the
joy of the Lord and manifest true joy all the time. The joy of
the Lord in your life ought to be independent of
circumstances. It doesn’t matter what news or event tries
to make you unhappy; you can always be joyful in the Holy
Ghost.
Ephesians 5:18-19 reveals how you can always be full
of the joy of the Holy Ghost: “And be not drunk with wine,
wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; Speaking to
yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing
and making melody in your heart to the Lord.” Learn to
speak to yourself in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs.
Sing and make melody in your heart to the Lord always!
That way, you get yourself filled with the Spirit, and stir in
and around you an atmosphere of joy.
Being filled with the Spirit causes you to experience
fulness of joy and pleasures evermore: “Thou wilt shew me
the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right
hand there are pleasures for evermore” (Psalms 16:11). The
Holy Spirit living in you brings you God’s presence, and
that presence brings joy to your heart and refreshes you.
His presence in your life gives no room for spiritual
drowsiness and dryness. You can’t be cast down, when
you know how to stir the joy of the Lord that’s in your
spirit. That joy, the Bible declares, is your strength
(Nehemiah 8:10).
As you consistently fellowship with the Spirit, your
life will be full of joy and merriment. It will be difficult for
anything to sadden or dampen your spirit. So, today, rejoice
evermore in the Holy Ghost, for the joy of the Lord is your
strength. Hallelujah.
