The Pink Dress!
August 18th, 2008 by David Gomolemo Gouwe
The Pink Dress
There was this little girl sitting by herself in the park.
Everyone passed by her and never stopped to see why she looked so sad.
Dressed in a worn pink dress, barefoot an
more
dirty, the girl just sat
And watched the people go by.
She never tried to speak.
She never said a word.
Many people passed by her, but no one would stop.
The next day I decided to go back to the park in curiosity to see
If the little girl would still be there.
Yes, she was there, right in the very spot where she was
Yesterday, and still with the same sad look in her eyes.
Today I was to make my own move and walk over to the little girl.
For as we all know, a park full of strange people is not a place
For young children to play alone.
As I got closer I could see the back of the little girl's dress.
It was grotesquely shaped.
I figured that was the reason people just passed by and made no
Effort to speak to her.
Deformities are a low blow to our society and, heaven forbid if
You make a step toward assisting someone who is different.
As I got closer, the little girl lowered her eyes slightly to
Avoid my intent stare.
As I approached her, I could see the shape of her back more
Clearly.
She was grotesquely shaped in a humped over form.
I smiled to let her know it was OK; I was there to help, to talk.
I sat down beside her and opened with a simple, 'Hello.'
The little girl acted shocked, and stammered a 'hi '; after a long
Stare into my eyes.
I smiled and she shyly smiled back.
We talked until darkness fell and the park was completely empty.
I asked the girl why she was so sad.
The little girl looked at me with a sad face said, 'Because, I'm
Different.'
I immediately said, 'That you are!'; and smiled.
The little girl acted even sadder and said, 'I know.'
'Little girl,' I said, 'you remind me of an angel, sweet and
Innocent.'
She looked at me and smiled, then slowly she got to her feet and
Said,
'Really?'
'Yes, you're like a little Guardian Angel sent to watch
Over all the people walking by.'
She nodded her head yes, and smiled.
With that she opened the back of her pink dress and allowed her
Wings to spread, then she said 'I am.'
'I'm your Guardian Angel,' with a twinkle in her eye.
I was speechless -- sure I was seeing things.
She said, 'For once you thought of someone other than yourself.
My job here is done'..
I got to my feet and said, 'Wait, why did no one stop to help an
Angel?'
She looked at me, smiled, and said, 'You're the only one that
Could see me,' and then she was gone.
And with that, my life was changed dramatically.
So, when you think you're all you have, remember, your angel is
Always watching over you.
Pass this to everyone that means anything at all to you.
Make sure you send it back to the person who sent it to you, to
Let them know you're glad they care about you.
Like the story says, we all need someone...
And, every one of your friends is an Angel in their own way.
The value of a friend is measured in the heart.
I hope your Guardian Angel watches over you always.

Is conflict between God and science hardwired?
January 16th, 2009 by Man of the Green Meadow
Study suggests we unconsciously see concepts as fundamentally opposed
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/28675668/
God and science are inherently at odds, or so goes the story with roots that reac
more
back nearly 400 years to the Inquisition's trial of Galileo on suspicion of heresy.
The ongoing effort of U.S. creationists to inject doubt about evolution into science classrooms in public schools is an example of that conflict, not to mention the polarizing arguments over the decades offered by numerous members of the clergy, politicians, and some atheist scientists and scholars including Richard Dawkins.
Now a new study suggests our minds are conflicted, making it so we have trouble reconciling science and God because we unconsciously see these concepts as fundamentally opposed, at least when both are used to explain the beginning of life and the universe.
My Comment:
As long as science could not solve all the problem and conflict in this earth, I will still stand and support that no other beyond the creation of the entire universe except the ALMIGHTY GOD because this world was not created by GOD for atheist and scientist alone but for all and every living and non living. Before when I was in trouble, I have doubts of the existence of GOD but after my few years of study, observation, and inquiries I could say, that there are lot of questions and forces of nature which is uncontrollable by science but changeable by miracles from GOD. The hypothesis remains proposition and the invention will keep on growing but nobody in this earth would be able to level the power and might of the Omnipotent and Almighty Father except HIM and HIM alone.

What Were They Thinking?
April 15th, 2010 by Guide Makombo
The thoughts of the righteous are right, but the counsels of the wicked are deceitful. - Proverbs 12:5.
The thoughts of the wicked are an abomination to the Lord. - Proverbs 15:26.

evil and wickedness to any degree warps our minds and even our thoughts. In Titus 1:15 we are told, "To the pure all things are pure, but to those who are defiled and unbelieving nothing is pure; but even their mind and conscience are defiled. They profess to know God, but in works they deny Him, being abominable, disobedient, and disqualified for every good work." When our thoughts are wrong our actions reveal the true nature of our character. We may say we know God but when every action we take continually reeks of evil the truth of the matter is revealed.
Contrast the thoughts of the evil person with the thoughts of the righteous. As the writer of Proverbs says, "The thoughts of the righteous are right." With right thinking comes right actions and words. Jesus says, "A good man
out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil. For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks (Luke 6:45)." Our thoughts often result in actions, which are sometimes good and sometimes bad. However, if our conscience has been corrupted our actions will always be influenced by evil.
To change our pattern of thinking we must begin with the basics. The very most important change that we can make is to receive Jesus as our Savior and be born again because it will radically change everything in our lives(2 Corinthians 5:17). Then we must take advantage of the resources of God found in Christ (Philippians 4:19). To think right we must begin to think about good things and not bad things (Philippians 4:8). And there is nothing more good and excellent than God's Holy Word. Renew your mind through reading, memorizing, and meditating upon God's Word (Romans 12:2).
When your thoughts are right you won't be shooting yourself in the foot anymore.
