networking (as much as I love to tweet). I am excited to hear and read everyone's opinions and thoughts on the world not only within politics but in anything that intrigues you. 

        For example, I now have a high interest in Women's rights after our study on Afghanistan and neo-colonialism so I'd like to hear your thoughts on this topic as well as anything else. 

    My initial interest with this project and the discussion I luckily got is the Environment. Coming from Mexican parents who grew up in a rural small village in Mexico has made me very aware that not everyone has the luxury of the smaller things in life like clean water and air. I have a strong passion for environmental issues and believe that if enough people speak up the government and people in the political world can make a difference for every country because after all there is only one world. 

    I am currently researching poverty and children's education all around the world. As I mentioned earlier taking annual trips to my parent's (and my) hometown in Mexico has made me realize that education is key to being successful and it saddens me that children aren't given enough resources to receive education and be involved like we are in America. Without education for children we won't have a future.
