One first glance, taking my last chance
through life's twists and turns,
I wanted to capture it with a tune.
You've been a bittersweet remnant of yesterday.

And this is what I pray...

That you will lead home
to where your dreams reside,
and you may find a good take
in your quest of a happy ending.

But if ever you get lost in the crowd,
get caught up in the hustle-bustle of this cruel world,
Just reach out a hand, I’ll be there.
Your same old temporary shelter.
