“Rough winds do stoke up infatuation…” Printable Version PRINTABLE VERSION

  Poetry

Rough winds do stoke up infatuation,
Blowing thy fine strands asunder in the air.
Patience dead we embrace in kisses that
Suspend loves snuggle in my deepest care.
Limp by electric burst, thy arms yield life,
Fresh breathe, to otherwise dull existence.
Thy heart is my home, my day, and my night,
The hub of all the world’s strength heaven sent.
Like a record, stuck, your image twinkles by,
Needle seduced by your soothing smile;
Light captures the divine, opens my eyes
To thy power, beauty… my humble denial.
You’re my dawn, my dusk, sedative voice of redress,
My all encompassing true love blessing.
