We all know that the church is an important element in our society today, in terms of teaching and preaching. Our generation is prone to and faced with a lot of challenges right from home,to work, in the play field and everywhere.
The thorny issue here is about the view of the church leaders and whet they tell to their congregations. This not withstanding, its known all over that temptations are all over, the men of the cloth know this very well. The problem is that, they assume this and take it that things are the way they deem them. Alas! Today we talk about HIV/Aids,measures and ways of living safe. Many try their best, many fall on the way, I just do not understand why the church leaders allow me be specific, the Catholic church, will make a different tone in the teachings on ways of living safe. It has been preached and talked all over that condoms play a role in many ways, right from the families to just relationships. But here is a case that the leaders of the Catholic community stand up brave saying that they do not support this. The irony is that, a lot of the youth are in the Catholic church too and we are much aware of what they engage in and thus the clergy in this congregation is not being fair by saying that they do not support the use of condoms, since the youth in the church today are more sexually active. What the Anglican leaders are doing is acceptable, going for tests even if you do not disclose the results thats private. Leading by example is what we want, accepting the situation at hand and finding a better solution to it. I think its time the leadership of the church used the same language since their voice has a purpose and if they do not use it well, the Holy book describes of how it will be of them!
The life we are leaving is all about being aware and facing our challenges like they should be and handled very well.
I welcome you views and comments to this as we bring to light the issues affecting our societies today.
