I upgrade LinLux.com to oProxy.org today, I have to say that this is one of the most robust proxy networks in the world. It has 3 main VPS and a failover backup server. This load balancing architecture distributes visitors to different nodes of network. The domain "Open-Proxy.com" has Round Robin DNS set up and automatic failover configuration. However I found the second VPS in PA is not fast enough, maybe I'll switch www2 to a better datacenter.

In the future I'll add more domains to this network, while the backbone will always be the same.

P.S. You may find out "oProxy.org" is hosted by Blogger.com :-) Yes, Blogger.com is the best place for hosting static pages.

تحقیقات رونتری(Rowntree) ، پایه اصلی بررسیهای فقر مطلق را نشان می دهد . تعریف او از فقر مطلق عبارت است از: خانوارهای مبتلا به فقر اولیه آن قدر درآمد ندارند که بتوانند حد اقل نیازهای تغذیه را برحسب ارزانترین انواع مواد انرژی زا تامین نمایند.
یکی از معروفترین محققین فقر نسبی ، تاون سند(Townsend) است . اوبه نقش افراد دردرون اجتماع وبه ارتباط بین آنها و سایرین اهمیت می داد . به گفته او ، افراد درصورتی فقیر شمرده می شوند که نتوانند درزندگی مشترک جامعه ای که درآن زندگی می کنند مشارکت داشته باشند. با این تعریف درهرجامعه با درنظر گرفتن معیارهای متفاوت می توان فقر را تعریف کرد وپائین بودن نسبی سطح زندگی مردم را درمقایسه با سطح زندگی متعارف جامعه برآورد ومحاسبه نمود. دراین حالت ، درجه محرومیت نسبی جامعه مطرح می شود وازاین طریق است که می توان فقرای هرجامعه را شناسائی کرد.

● خط فقر چیست؟
خط فقر ارتباطی بین فقر ونابرابری نسبی دارد. این خط پائین ترین حد درآمد لازم برای حفظ زندگی درحد اقل معیشت را نشان می دهد .
دراین تعریف ، ((حفظ زندگی ))، به قضاوتهای فردی ومعیارهای اجتماعی بستگی می یابدبا توجه به اینکه فقر مطلق ویا فقر نسبی را مورد نظر قرار دهیم خطوط فقر متفاوتی خواهیم داشت.
با تعاریف متفاوتی که ازفقر وجود دارد ، برآوردهای مختلفی نیز ازخط فقر می توان انجام داد . تعدادی از روشهای موجود از این برآوردها عبارتند از:
- محاسبه خط فقر براساس حداقل معیشت.
- محاسبه خط فقر براساس تامین مواد غذائی درحد نرمال.
- محاسبه خط فقر براساس کالری مورد نیاز روزانه.
- برآورد خانوارهای آسیب پذیر بر اساس نماگرهای رفاه.

سير تاريخي مطالعه و بررسي موضوع فقر به نظريه ها و تئوري هايي چند در اين خصوص اشاره دارد؛ بر اساس تئوري گذار جغرافيايي که در سال 1979 ميلادي و توسط فاندرتاک و همکارانش مطرح گرديد، به موازات آنکه جوامع توسعه يافته مي شوند، نخست نرخ مرگ و مير در آنها کاهش مي يابد و سپس نرخ زاد و ولد کم مي شود؛ که در نتيجه ميزان جمعيت با نرخ مشخصي شروع به کاهش کرده و يا ثابت مي ماند. از سوي ديگر، تئوري توسعه روستو پيشنهاد مي کند که جوامع از فاز هاي اقتصاد امرارمعاش گونه که يک مرحله گذار و شرايطي است که به واسطه تخصص، مازاد براي تجارت وجود دارد، به فاز جهش براي بلوغ مي رسند که ناشي از تنوع، مصرف انبوه و بخش خدماتي حاکم است.
اما هنگامي که جوامع توسعه مي يابند، تمايل دارند تا از منابع خود بيش از پيش بهره برداري کنند، در نتيجه پايه و اساس منابعي را که از آن تغذيه و استفاده مي کرده اند، نابود مي سازند. تئوري محيط کونزنتز کرو بحث مي کند که همين که جوامع از يک سطح درآمد سرانه بحراني عبور مي کنند، به نسبت درآمدشان، کمتر محيط را آلوده مي کنند.
تئوري هاي فوق اين اميد را ايجاد مي کنند که به موازات توسعه جوامع، موسسات نيز توسعه يافته، ميزان جمعيت رو به ثبات رفته و ميزان فقر و گرسنگي کاهش مي يابد؛ همچنين، نيازهاي اوليه افراد بهتر برآورده شده و آموزش و سلامت افزايش مي يابد.
با اين همه، شواهد تجربي از پنجاه سال گذشته حاکي از آن است که نوعي واگرايي رو به افزايش ميان سطح درآمد طبقات فقير و ثروتمند در حال شکل گيري است؛ تا آنجا که کشورهاي با جمعيت بالا و دچار مشکل گرسنگي، در يک چرخه جميعيتي-گرسنگي گرفتار شده و کشورهاي با درآمد کم، در چرخه فقر به دام افتاده اند (Gupta, 2004, p. 407).
اکنون، متأسفانه بيش از 980 ميليون نفر که 19 درصد از جمعيت کشورهاي در حال توسعه را تشکيل مي دهند، با درآمدي کمتر از يک دلار در روز، در فقر کامل به¬سر مي برند (United Nationsb, 2007, p. 6). اين آمار فقط به فقر درآمدي اشاره دارد و چنانچه فقر قابليتي را نيز در نظر بگيريم (Mahmoudi, 2006; McKinley, 2006, p. 1)، تعداد افراد فقير اين کشورها تا حد زيادي افزايش مي يابد. بر پايه گزارشي ديگر، در شرايطي که 900 ميليون نفر از مردم در کشورهاي در حال توسعه در فقر درآمدي به سر مي برند، 1.6 ميليارد نفر آنان دچار فقر قابليتي هستند (HDR, 1996) و اين روند ممکن است افزايش يافته و پيچيده تر گردد.

The second and third templates come from old blogger-templates.blogspot.com but now they are not available there. I have to say I still miss how it used to be, those classic templates remind me my old salad days in campus. Although XML templates are main stream now, I still prefer classic HTML templates and always use them in my personal blogs.

I didn't test the first one, some people said you have to switch your language setting to English, I'm not sure about that.

And for the second and third one, I simply copy the code from my backstage, please delete all those unnecessary links and code like my rss links or some Google AD. I didn't do the clean work today but I'll fix it if I have more time next week. Also please save those JS files on your own server as I might not renew that domain blogbeta.net next year.

Personally I like the third one and I made it imageless, so the pages load very fast. I use the HTML code to display the Google logo as a showcase.

I'm not sure if we can track back the old archives of the url "too.blogspot.com". Sergey might wish to take two.blogspot.com , which has been a wasted playground for about 7 years. But he didn't erase two.blogspot.com or took it as his own , because google said, don't do evil.

I can tell you another story, ray@live.com is just a simple Live ID, like my u@live.co.uk . But Microsoft once threatened the person behind ray@live.com after he got that ID in landrush. Rumors said the reason is Chief Software Architect Ray Ozzie in Microsoft (Don't know who he is? Google him!) someone in MS Live team wanted that Live ID for Ray. You see the point is Google didn't delete two.blogspot.com for Sergey, Wordpress didin't erase my wordpress.wordpress.com for dev team because they know the importance of Don't do evil. But maybe Microsoft has different opinion:-)

BTW, ghs.google.com was once registered by a Japanese but he only enjoyed it for 3 days with 3 posts in total. It was a mistake happened during the week when Google released custom domain for blogger. That's a different situation because ghs.google.com is a general service, however I feel an official blog for Google APP is a good idea for that address rather than a 404 page:-) Do you agree?

At last, here are the letters between ray@live.com and Live Team. Different people have different judgement anyway, but finally Ray Ozzie didn't get that Live ID. What do you think and what would you say? Check this link:

Because we do not have public registration open for Live.com accounts yet, all Live.com accounts currently created are considered "test" accounts. Test accounts are scheduled to be deleted in approximately 3 weeks as a pre-release step prior to the official launch of Live Mail.

We simply haven't released @Live.com addresses for public use yet. The good news is that the official release of @ Live.com email registration is in several months.

As part of that launch, we are looking at addresses that were 'pre-registered' typically through a registration bug where a query string value could be changed to the Live.com domain value. There were also a small number of accounts which were issued to internal Microsoft team members that worked on shipping Live Mail. Some of those team members work in our China development group which is why I inquired if you were a Microsoft employee.

I've tried many flash players, finally I decided to use Yahoo media player. Here is the tutorial:

1, Get the podcast RSS from any source like BBC or Time Podcast.
2, Add it to your Google reader, then generate the JS layout by using "add a clip to your site".
3, Add the Yahoo media player script to your page.

That's all! If you don't like the line "Read more..." under the MP3 links, some changes in css file are required. Add following code to css:

visibility: hidden;
display: none;
}

Please note that the content from JS can not be indexed by Google, and sometimes it slows down the page.

If you host your blog on you FTP, some scripts can help you display the RSS content without any delay and they are SEO friendly. And if your blog is hosted by blogger.com , add blogger widget to siderbar is another option.

What I'm going to talk about is a new option, the content of front page is driven by the feed. There are many services can help you output the RSS feed content on the page.

If your blog is hosted by blogger, you have to choose Javascript mode, but if you are using FTP publish your content, you may wish to use a better solution.

First, you have to modify the .htaccess file (This step is optional) so the .html file can be handled as .php file.

An 80 year old woman was sitting on the sofa in her house along with her 45 year old highly educated daughter. Suddenly a crow perched on their window. The mother asked her daughter, " What is this ? " The daughter replied , " It is a crow ". After a few minutes , the mother asked her daughter the 2nd time ,"What is this ?" The daughter said, "Mother , I have just now told you , It's a crow ". After a little while , the old mother again asked her daughter the 3rd time , " What is this ? " At this time some expression of irritation was felt in the daughter's tone when she said to her mother with a rebuff. "It's a crow, a crow". A little after, the mother again asked her daughter the 4th time , " What is this ? " This time the daughter shouted at her mother , " Why do you keep asking me the same question again and again , although I have told you so many times " IT IS A CROW ". Are you not able to understand this ?" A little later the mother went to her room and came back with an old tattered diary, which she had maintained since her daughter was born. On opening a page, she asked her daughter to read that page. When the daughter read it, the following words were written in the diary :- " Today my little daughter aged three was sitting with me on the sofa, when a crow was sitting on the window. My daughter asked me 23 times what it was, and I replied to her all 23 times that it was a crow. I hugged her lovingly each time she asked me the same question again and again for 23 times. I did not at all feel irritated I rather felt affection for my innocent child ". While the little child asked her 23 times " What is this ? ", the mother had felt no irritation in replying to the same question all 23 times and when today the mother asked her daughter the same question just 4 times , the daughter felt irritated and annoyed.

So ... If your parents attain old age, do not repulse them or look at them as a burden, but speak to them with gracious words; be cool, obedient, humble and kind to them. Be considerate to your parents. From today say this aloud, "I want to see my parents happy forever. They have cared for me ever since I was a little child. They have always showered their unconditional selfless love on me. They crossed all mountains and valleys and protected me from the storm and heat to make me become a person presentable in society today ".

Today I had a workshop in Kalachai, a city in the east of Guilan Province, Iran, for a group of around 30 students teachers.

The workshop was called "Think Globally, Act Locally" and covered the following subjects:

- Introducing Think Globally, Act Locally Concept
- Youth Participation Role
- Process for getting involved (Raising awareness, Capacity building, Taking action)
- Organizations campaigns to start with
- iEARN (www.iearn.org)
- TakingITGlobal (www.takingitglobal.org)
- Youth Action Portal (YAP) (http://yap.ioksp.com)
- First Step
- Q A session

I showed the First Step Video clip that was created and showed in the CIVICUS Youth Assembly 2008, as well.

I am glad to say that the participants were interested to get involved more in the youth projects and programs.

Hopefully, some of them will join more actively one of the four introduced organizations and campaigns.
