Help provide computer training for more youth

By upgrading to 15 more modern computers, the community training centre hopes to reach students from secondary schools in the region, providing them computer training free of charge. There are 5 secondary schools in the region, and with 15 computers 225 students can be trained each year.
Join Savelugu as a neighbour on http://www.nabuur.com/modules/newbb/viewforum.php?forum=406
* Help finalizing the business plan
* Help arrange shipment for the 15 computers from the UK to Ghana
* Help raising funds for the shipment and the community training centre

Local representative Stephen Agbenyo and a couple of collegue teachers in Savelugu district have found 15 computers, located in the UK, which is a great start! However, there are plenty of things that still need to be done. A business plan has been written with the aim to use it for fundraising. Although the plan is quite complete as it is, it needs some revision. Currently, the search is on to find neighbours who have experience in writing business plans, especially with the focus on fundraising. Feel you could do it? Or want to help in any other way? Come on and join!

Furthermore, 15 computers have to be transported from the UK to Savelugu. There, they can be put to work! Join and help getting the machines where they ought to be!

At the moment, the community training centre is run by volunteer teachers. They also pay for the day to day expenses. However, when the centre is upgraded, the expenses grow beyond the volunteer's capacities (electricity bills, rent for the building, maintenance costs). Funds are needed, and you can help acquiring them!
