As a sign of the times, hard or otherwise, things are getting worse than better, Our government seems to have lost the touch on tackling the economic crisis. Jobs are getting few by the day or better still by the minute every second count..time is money and time runs fast, never still always on the move.

The credit crunch is a test our resilience, how well we survive depends on a whole lot on government policies or lack of it. An average youth is bound to belief there's no hope or even a future.

Its all a matter of getting the mind right, being at peace with the self is the first step in the healing process..getting rid of the negative thought and imbibing positive attitude, the can do and all thing are possible spirit.

Every thing is not about the credit crunch and job cut/rate unemployment. It takes an extra effort, tasking our intellect to be creative, using our talent/abilities as a fall back mechanism and above all faith....

"Work hard to be better, creatively seek out new opportunities for growth, weighing out options, alternative to such (options) cost wise. To wait for the credit crisis to pan out would amount to arresting our growth and development"..it take a little bit of individual effort to make a big difference.

CRUDE OIL: Curse of the Black Pearl

Its might sound like a movie you've seen, but the reality is starring us in the face. What a waste billions on Oil revenue gone down the drain and it is the greatest moment in the life of any nation.

The price of crude oil peak this year $140, now government coffers is running dry perhaps empty. To top it all industries are closing due to power failure. Sure I have been hit hard as everybody else, couldn't keep the generator running 24/7, diesel is expensive and there's is no likelihood of things getting better.

JOBS, JOBS and JOBS

This is the critical part, job creation has taking a back burner in government policy formulation, so much noise has been made about poverty alleviation. Nigerian are known to be creative but what we are witnessing now is what I tagged " Lost on innovation". It is not appropriate to say we are not innovative far from it the problem is start we lack resources to polish our ideas and ability to think creatively, I may be wrong, but that is the way I feel.

THE QUESTION IS HOW LOST ARE WE?

The telecoms industry has witnessed tremendous growth with new entrance nearly everyday, but what they come up with is just the same. gone are the days when companies take time to undertake market research to find out what the consumer needs in order to find out or product a product tailored to meet that need or want.
Selling a product or service is beyond just pushing the product to market through aggressive campaign or advertising.

Banks have failed as well in understanding the nature of the Nigerian economy, its not about multinational and government contracts and oil revenue..that may be running be drying out. The informal economy is potentially more productive is adequately developed. we have so much depend on crude oil that it has now become a curse.

We need to be innovative in developing our nation in an ever increasing IT dependable world. We are living at a point in time where we need more than politics and policies to change our nation but with ideas, innovation, creativity we can positively develop and be a power to be recon with.

Information Communication Technology: A Resource for growth and Poverty Alleviation.

With the rapid growth of e-commerce, africa remain sligthy backward, in recent years major development in the information technology industry has greatly shown how viable the sector can be with every penny investment in the industry yielding over a hundred and ten percentage (100%) rate of return not considering the mutiplier effect.

Internet and Information Technology the world over has a myriad of applications ( which applies to or cover every facet of human endevour/activities. The conventional/traditional ways of doing business is ever changing in a fast paced technology driven world, ever function that has a physical process is now being done online in real time with specialised softwares setting the standards for a newer heights.

With the launch of Nigeria's communication satellite (the Nigcomsat1) and a fair share of problem bordering on power failure, high crime rate, high cost of transportation, high rate og unemployment and rising price, the lauch would have been seen as a misplacement of priority, but this has a positive side to developing the the communication sector: Broadband internet, telecommunication-rural telephony and also cable and satellite tv. What is however worrying is the sustainability, as described above information technology has a wide application which is in line with the launch of the satellite, for effective use of the technology, the power sector much be fully operational, tax policies must be formulated to promote trade, also the high level of graduate much me macthed and adequately trained on information technology and other applications as a way of reducing the rate of unemployment thereby increasing the level of productivity. Information commucation technology as a knowledge based economy and e-commerce can adequately employ more than 90% of all gradutes even in specialised field, the developing world can not afford to complacent in looking inwords, with a significant level og human resource in Nigeria, we stand to be an emerging power in a an ever changing world. The clock is ticking.

After the selection process and swearing in of the Government of Alhaji Umar Musa Yar'adua. The list goes on and on. Things can only get better if the new Government (despite its illegitimacy) is able to build bridges across political divide in terms of Policies, appointment in appealing to the agriefed opposition, which is a long shot away, time will surely tell.

More updates soon.

SELLABAND: REFINING MULTI-LEVEL-MARKETING

I find Multi-level marketing interesting, perhaps it can be adjust the best thing internet has to offer apart from Technology, information, communication. And it has been quite remarkable, I have involved in it and what makes it less productive is that it does not loop by itself it involves constant sales/referral without so much of a change in the product/offerings which the conventional real time product marketing.

BREAKING THE LOOP

Where does the buck stop? That is a question that I am yet to find an answer, I intend to ask more questions and as well proffer solutions to some and also create an avenue for innovative thinking in opening us the discuss, hoping for a break through or new idea.

I do not however want to go into What MLM is, but make a case in pointing out its flaws or better still the down side. I came up to MLM as a newbie in internet marketing and I make some money, with 35 downlines (both active and inactive members of my team). Is that am achievement I don’t think so, here is why.

All I had to do is get two referral (the required minimum) and encourage them to get there’s (two each) and it goes on. Or I can just refer people sending out my link and make money on them and stop there or keep getting more till it piles up (vertical), and then work away.

The pyramid option is an ideal option, but what happens where there is a break in the loop, that is where it all ends.

VIRAL OR PARTICIPATION MARKETING.

Marketing is War? The war of words and not that of weaponry, the guerrilla tactics of ambush marketing and referral is giving way to the new approach/concept Participation Marketing and that is the future of not just internet marketing but the world of marketing and it is gradually catching on.

Consumer Influence: right or wrong?

Participation marketing is not entirely new; it actually took from the concept “the consumer is king” but slightly beyond meeting consumer need or satisfying want but refined in a new with the new phrase “the consumer is prime” as the decision makers and product influencers if I can use that word. Participation marketing is getting the consumers involve in decision what to produce and how i.e. shifting this decision to consumer as a responsibly or participation in the marketing process in creating a “self sell product”.

THE CONCEPT OF WEALTH CREATION,
PARTICIPATION MARKETING: The Sellaband Concept

The Sellaband concept is a revolution in marketing by helping bands raise moving also giving the fans the opportunity to invest in the band.
to read more about the concept go to NEMESEA Lily
The concept of Participation marketing has a great potential in creating wealth, investment which are tied to physical product and adequately defined. Sellaband concept unlike MLM programs clearly involves referal but Short of individaul referal or building a pyramid...Each Referal or promotion contributes to the overall investable fund and as well as the profit total pool based on the number/parts or sum of money invested.

Playing the numbers: 150 million citizens of a “250 diverse nation”

Laying out the cards, the year rolls in with a lot of promises and resolutions high on the list priorities. Also the politics of third term and constitutional review takes a toll, perhaps that is the beginning of good things or bad things to come, all I wish for is the best, which we all hope for, or do we not. I don’t know about you, but I hope to do better than last year, better not in bad taste or dark deeds but of good work and of success and more success.

The later part however depends a lot on the person: Mind, head and sight, in connecting the self, the three makes up the body man. How well coordinated and organised you are in fulfilling your dream, that is all up to you, left for you decide.

I am not a philosopher, if it sounds like I am one, (again) it is up to you to decide and take what is of use to you or complain about my rambling talk about nothing, probably that makes sense, just ignore me, ok!

Perhaps you are wondering what this is all about, reality is staring us in the face, the odd is we are in mid-stream with the same old pilot, the same old steamboat, nothing has changed, the society is rotten still, politicians still hold the same old bag of tricks, things haven’t changed not one bit.

So where are we, at this time and age? In playing this game, lives have been lost, it however takes our collective will and strong determination to wade off preys and hounds, hoarding our natural resources for a lot, whether they succeed that is another story, who holds the ace or the joker, 150 million lives pays the price.

Curbing the excesses of Power: the agents of change

In a Nation of 150 million people and an unemployment rate of 75%, the youth population are the culprit; most affected by the scourge of poverty or is it not, our opinion is important to this discourse as a voice for change: an agent of change. It take the collective interest of all to turn around the fortunes of our nation, if it is to start somewhere, some how, it is better to start here and now, there are a million ways to make money online through e-commerce.

Playing the lotteries: the human resource factor

In a nation with 150 million, if 50 million pay power bill at a rate of 200 naira monthly that is 10 billion naira (no magic) and that is 120 billion naira in a year. The population factor is our strength which grants us a world power status and has made the likes of Dangote, multi-Millionnaires.

This piece is not about playing on your intelligence, but it is about see the truth, pure stark reality, as it dawn on us. It is about the idea of a product, turning a $29 product into a multi-million venture; it’s also about seeing opportunity and taking it, it’s about dreaming and walking that dream, even if it takes sweating and toiling hard... the end product is what prospecting for… what do you say? Is the road worth plying… choosing To Act now or try later! For information send request contact the author.

The Internet Frontier: the power of e-commerce as Nigerians take a bit

The world is ever changing, technology and innovation broadening the scope of our mind, the world made a closer knit together by the ingenuity of mind, the power of ideas spans beyond time and space, infinitum. Opening up new areas with endless possibilities for business, education/research, knowledge, love and relationships. The internet make the world closer braking barriers, the list goes on and on of its importance and advantages.

The power of the human mind

Our imagination runs wild and the beauty of it all is that, information technology gives us the power to drive that will and work on our fantasies and the opportunity to live it through to any length it outlives us and serves as a challenge to anyone, to want to proceed from where it stop, the dream is endless: “a never ending story”.

The power that rules the World: think innovation creativity and knowledge

It is often said, “You are what you think”, I often sift through those words and I realised the depth of its meaning as it opens my eye unto a new world of ideas, the internet: information communications technology clearly brings to our world to enlighten, educate and liberate from the shackles of poverty, disease and oppression. Shunning all negative aspects, that seeks to brainwash our collective sense of reasoning.

Formula for success

Internet has become a necessity, in an ever changing world; old formulas of success are archaic. E-commerce is the new frontier for growth and development, creating new markets through globalisation. Which is also gaining and making ground for exploitation, new ways of crime: cyber crime, terrorism, fraud, and scam and security theft? Information communication technology is changing our way of life give credence to the tag “open source” for information, knowledge and research, integrating businesses, government, health institutions with a global enclave. On this path the world tolls in path of global internet citizenship. And I walk the walk, perhaps with a different approach, guided by my philosophy: TICK = ART BREAKTHROUGH

“Think innovation creativity and knowledge = applied revolutionised technological breakthrough”

The road to the future lies ahead of us only if we can all make that journey to make our world better, brighter; I am willing to take that chance welcome to the ICT world of possibilities.
