Calabar carnival 2007

The last annual Cross river state carnival was a huge success , as a tourist i decided to take a long holiday. Thanks to my employers.
The carnival was a wonder to behold kind of the carribean stuff i normally watch on Tv.
There was a lot of cultural displays and dances.
The Governor who I am an ardent fan was on hand to see the successful hosting of the carnival to the end from the mounatin race at obudu to the end of year lightning crackers.
The Musicians were all out to thrill us all the way from the Cultural Viallge to the U.J. Esuene Stadia.
i was impresed to see our courteous and abled bodied Nigeria force police men and the Military alike leading traffic and helping in maintaining law and order(They were terrific and who says they are the worst in the world).
I was suprised that even the Area boys were not left out in even mainatining law and order (I wonder if they were paid or was just a free offer to Calabar city).
What struck me more was the neatness of the city , beautiful landscaping, and cool sceanrio from the sea side.
i also enjoyed the Cow tail pepper soup, suya and fresh fish, Afang and Atama soup respectively from the various joints in calabar city.
I enjoyed the clubbing at Mirage and pyramid too,i also enjoyed the cool breeze from the atlantic ocean close to the old residency museum.
I am looking forward to another Calabar festival, just hope the next Governor believes in continuity

Present political terrain in Nigeria has been a source of worry to me as an individual and a patriotic Nigeria.
Recent travails between the president and the deputy continue to put doubt on my mind.
Job insecurity on the rise, armed robbery , assasinations, and kidnap has been on the rise.
I begin to wonder where the country is heading to.
The elections are coming once agin, lets forget about ethnic bigotry, religious favoritism and thuggery and fight towards one case, achieveing the Nigerian Goal.
let The new president implement the i Pc Laptop per child initiatve(of course i know is a failed project) resusitate the power sector and rid corruption.
Let Mr president elect bring up moribund industries and develop or build new once to support the existing once.
I must once again commend Mr . Donald Duke for putting Cross river state on the global map just like an uncle of mine(Late Clement isong) did a coupe of years ago.
Tinapa is a reality, mountain races and annual Carnival is a reality.
I believe in one Nigeria

Political war will it help us go any further?
well,
the current political war wagging between the president and the vice president brings a lot of concern to all and sundry especially now that we are about getting to an important period " Election 2007"
i pray that all be well with the nigerian polity as it is heated up now.
Why do they disgrace thier selves rather than spend the money into Information technology , lets say embrace the i laptop per child project going on all over the world and be remembered for life or provide jobs for the teamming unemployed youths . spread loans for peasant farmers and traders .Encourage farming and enterprenuership.
i think we can all deveolp from that

The beautiful maidens were all present dancing to the african rythmn.
This is to signify the beginning and release a new Yam. A staple food in these areas.
I must commend The Governor Donald Duke for The part he has played towards hosting this event

The current trend in the middle east as in the fight between israel and lebanon really makes me belive that the world is going to an end.
Let them allow us worry about Iraq and USA , Somalia,Liberia, and the debt ridden African countries.
The hunger in the Poor third world countries.
Let the world leaders allow peace to reign by mediating because i watched in horro the bombing.
Lets experience peace for onec.
Coming to Nigeria lets play politics without rancour, bitterness, and strife.

Painting My country Black is definately the worst thing to do by countries thought to be the unbiased and democratic.
It has been observed that the American Government and other Countries have black mailed Nigeria for corruption,Looking back the other day i watched the CNN reports indicting Nigerians in America of Bank robbery, and other vices .
Well we find slums every where in the world .I was horrified at such a sight.
This is a country that has produced the most beautiful woman in the world , world classed elder statemen, World renouned Space Craft Pilots , Computer wiz kids etc
The people are nice , crime rate is low at least where i live .
We have hard working people and Smart and brilliant ones are found there too.
Please if it requires you to come and see i will host you privately in my home country house.
afetr all we handed over
Come and see the Nigeria you are rejecting, beautiful scenario where sunsets beautifully.Lovely women, people, come to Calabar see Tinapa The EPZ zone do legitimate business, Beautiful nature and What nature has to behold .
Please stop painting Nigeria Black
